Kim Pipkin, Quezada Architecture
Kim decided to study architecture because her mother should have but it wasn't an option - just a dream. Since then, she has spent the better part of her 20 year career in the AEC industry in marketing, publicity, branding and business development roles. As Marketing Director, she is responsible for educating, challenging, and motivating the QA team to embrace new ideas and develop skills that create a more effective marketing effort. Kim works closely with firm’s leadership to identify new business opportunities, cultivate and maintain client and consultant relationships while guiding project pursuit strategies.
Commitment to community service and leadership, Kim serves as Planning Commissioner for the Town of San Anselmo and on the Board of Directors for the San Anselmo Playhouse, a local community theatre. She is also an avid traveler, and most of the items on her list are travel related. Mt. Everest is already ticked off, but Iceland and Patagonia are still under To Do. She also has credible kitchen skills gained from taking lots of cooking classes. Plus, when she was in graduate architecture school, Kim worked at a cookware store in North Oakland as a sales person and assisted guest chefs. This eclectic background is evident in her varied approach to marketing initiatives.
